Migration Safari

Overview

The Great Wildebeest Migration is the largest wildlife migration in the world. Every year, more than 2 million animals including wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move in a natural circular pattern across the ecosystems of Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.
This incredible journey happens as the animals search for fresh grass and water throughout the year. One of the most dramatic moments of the migration is the famous river crossing at Mara River, especially around the Kogatende area in northern Serengeti, where large herds cross crocodile-filled waters.
Witnessing the Great Migration is one of the most unforgettable safari experiences in Africa.
